Waiting for Mr. Sunshines

Waiting for the sun.

It is a long cold winter's night. But today is the Solstice.
Slowly the days will grow longer. The sun will win by springtime.
It is the beginning of Christmas week. We are sleepy kitties and Momma is tired too. We look forward to snuggly days and evenings, treats and naps.
The Daddyman's dad is in the hospital again, but he may be able to go home this week. He is very sick.

We are still so sad about Prinnie. The little stuffed white cat that Billie cuddles with sometimes is named Princess.

Us kitties hope all of you have a very Happy Holiday week. We will try to get around to do more visiting this week. Momma helped us visit a little bit today.
If any of you kitties are having any fun parties for Mew Years, let us know.

Lots of Purrs,
~Twilight's Muse Kitties (Lorianna's kitties)

Toeshee Tells All

Lots To Share

Hi everyone, it's me Toeshee! We have had a couple of rough days here, but some things are better now.
Billie wasn't feeling well since Monday afternoon. She had not been eating and just seemed more tired and irritable. Momma of course was very worried. Then Momma had a bad fall when she tripped to avoid stepping on Cody's tail. She landed on her tailbone against the bottom step of the stairway. (why do beans have tailbones if they don't have tails?) She thinks it's just bruised and the fall hurt her joints in the wrists and hips too. So, she has been hurty and worried and weepy since Monday evening.

The good news is that Billie seems to be better! It seems she has some seasonal allergy issues and was just kinda stuffed up and couldn't really take interest in food. Momma jumped started her appetite with tuna and small bits of ham that she hand fed her. This along with sips of water and lots of lap time seemed to put Billie back on track. She is now eating normally and she is not sounding all snory and wheezy when she sleeps.

Today when Momma got the mail she was very happy to find some beautiful cards from her friend Helena! Helena lives in England and is a super talented artist. She loves cats too. We think the kitty in the card reminds us of Cricket and also a little bit like Daisy's sister Pixie. The lacy looking layers are painstakingly put together with glue. Aren't they amazing? If you want to purchase anything that Helena creates just click on her Creating a Likeness link on the side bar. She has her own little online card shop and even does commissions of pictures of your beloved furbabies. The pictures Momma took do not do her work justice. She also loves me; Toeshee the adorable young mancat! I hope she likes the picture of me in the window. HI HELENA! :)
She is my human girlfriend. My true kitty ladylove is Jelly Bean though. I think she is the cat's meow! Her blue eyes are sigh worthy...

Huh, what's that Billie? Oh Billie says she and Cricket and Cody are going to start teasing me if I don't chill. Fine, whatever!

Anyway the cards cheered Momma up a little bit, but she is moving even slower than ever. She is sitting on the sofa with two pillows propping her up. She is just so grateful that Billie seems okay. There are other family stresses going on, but as long as she has us nearby Momma feels better. Oh, and she's not mad at Cody or his tail or anything. Accidents happen and she's glad she didn't step on it at least.

We hope you all are having a great week and we send Hugs and Purrs!

The Girls Relaxing at Home

Kitty Admiration Society

Hi, Cricket and Billie here to show our latest pictures taken with our friends!

We love Daisy the Curly Cat's Hallmark card! Momma snagged the last two at the card store. She was so excited! Someday Momma would like to see Cricket on a Halloween card and she thinks Billie would be a pretty Valentine.
Isn't Daisy fun? Only she could pull off a coconut bra. :)

Last week Momma DVR'd the TLC show featuring the Whiskers and Purrs gang with their Mommy Jenny. We really enjoyed their portion of the show.
Momma tried to leave a comment on their blog to let them know how much we like them, but their Wordpress wouldn't take the comment. She tried like 3 times and it wouldn't take. Oh well, we are still big fans!

Momma is still nervous about her bloodwork results. The idea that the Methotrexate is affecting her liver freaks her out a little bit. It was a possible side effect, but she didn't think she would have a problem because she never drinks alcohol and she has a pretty healthy diet. (well she does have a sweet tooth!) Now, she will probably have to try a new medication, but she is wondering if she should bother. Maybe after x-rays she will know what to do.

We will be popping
in on everyone this week whenever we get a chance. Right now, momma has to go sweep up the kitchen. SOMEONE chewed a CAT HEAD SIZED HOLE into a bag of crunchies and now their are some scattered all over the floor. Then she must make sure we all have our lunch and see if the boy cats that visit are around outside.

Lots of Hugs and Purrs Everyone!

Meow a little purrayer for you

Say a little Purrayer

Hi everybody! It's me Miss Billie. Could you purray for my friend Praline? She has been sick with a fever and her VET says it's from stoopid fleas!
Her Mommy Paula is very worried of course and she is not feeling well herself. My Momma will light a candle for them and for anyone else who needs it too. Just let us know!
I seem to have allergies. I am sneezy, but not stuffed up and I am enjoying my Fancy Feast and treats just fine. Cricket's eye was inflamed and Momma put some goo stuff in it and now it's better. Momma says our pollen count is high and she is sneezy too. I thought the bumbly bees took care of the pollens? Hmm...
Anyway, Momma is all worried and fretting over everyone. She gets herself all worked up. You know how mommas are.
You can purray for my sneezies and Cody's hairball and Cricket's eye too, if you would like. We are always thankful for happy thoughts. Also, we are super thankful that Miss Peach is feeling better! Yay! :)

Please feel better Sweet Praline and Mommy Paula!
Love,

Billie~<3

Cakes and Kitties and Nip= Tired

Busy weekend.

Toeshee is worn out. He played with a cat dancer and toy mice dipped in really potent nip today. They were pressies from his friends JB and Chester. I think Toeshee might have a crush on JB! ;) Cody thought Praline was pretty, but I told him to get in line because she has lots of suitors. I think it's cute that kitties are matched up in the cat blogosphere. We should all have some silly fun sometimes.

Yesterday we went to see the new Star Trek movie for my husband's birthday. It was a pretty good movie. The Imax theatre was a bit loud, but the big screen was cool.
My daughter got a really, really nice bike. She will use it to go to the community college which is a few blocks away and probably ride it to the nearby library and coffee shop. It's nice to have everything so close.
I'm happy to report that the cake I made turned out nicely. It's just an old fashioned chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. Very good with Earl Grey Tea.

Now, the cute tuxie kitty! We can't figure out if the kitty is a boy or girl. It would be rude to grab and lift the tail and I didn't want to scare the kitty away. I haven't seen my new friend since I took the pictures on Friday. The food I set out is being eaten, but I'm worried. I have been able to pet the kitty and he, or she tips and rolls for me when I say hello. It's hard to not get attached. But, I can't have another kitty. If he or she comes around again, we may just put up a few found signs and hope the nearby no "you know what" shelter isn't full. Sadly, in this economy many people give their pets up and many shelters are full. Maybe the tuxie has a home and just goes out to play. She or he wasn't super skinny. I guess I'll find out at some point. I just hope my new friend is okay.

I will be hopping around to visit blogs as much as I can this week.
Lots of Hugs from us!~

Hoping and Wishing

Hoping and Wishing

A few days ago we had lovely warm weather. 85 degrees! The kitties were thrilled when I opened the window. Cricket was so funny. I asked her if she wanted the window and like Tookie, she understood what that meant, so she hopped up on the sill. Well, my hands do not work as well as they used to so I had a difficult time opening the storm window. Cricket became very impatient and actually growled at me! Then she made this little huffing sound and jumped down. I apologized and managed to get it open and she jumped back in, settling down with this sigh, that just spoke volumes. Clearly she was exasperated with me and must have thought I was teasing her. Cricket is very sensitive and has a bit of a temper. She's such a funny, spooky cat. :)

Toeshee loved the window too and when Cricket wasn't in it he was. Poor Billie never did get to sit in it. Cody took over at night.
Now, it's chilly and cloudy and we have had a lot of rain. I have been remiss in blogging and visiting. I'm trying to catch up and have been making sure to check in on the kitties that are sick. It has been a rough month for so many!
I hope May is better. It just has to be!

I light a candle every night, sometimes more than one and think about everyone who needs wishes and healing thoughts. A soft light glowing with hope. I wish I could do more... Still, Hope is a powerful thing and something that we all need.

My kitties and I send you all Love and Hope. Imagine a candle, bright in the window sending out hope and healing.

Cricket at Twilight

Cricket At Twilight Time

Momma loves the "time in between time." Before the sun sets and there is still a soft glow. She took my picture at that time a few days ago. Our walls are actually a sea glass blue, but they took on a glow that matched my eyes.

It was super wonderful warm today. 85! It was one of those one of a kind days in April here in Michigan.

The night before last I went into the bathroom and Momma heard me throwing up. I barfed up a lot! She was very worried, but I bounced right back and have been enjoying my stinky goodness with crunchies on the side like usual. I sleep with Momma every night still, just as Tookie asked before she went to the Rainbow Bridge. Momma still misses her and probably always will. I hear her cry sometimes, but she only cries in front of me, so don't tell anyone.

We have learned that Miss Peach is slowly on the mend, but has a bad cough. Her fiance Mickey did not have a good test result fro his VET. And, Jelly Bean was very sick with a high fever yesterday. We are very worried for our friends and just wish sickness would leave the furbabies alone for a while!

Momma says it's time to light a candle and Purray really hard. She will have to handle the candle part, but I can certainly purray. I may be naughty, but I can also be very nice for those I care about.

We hope you all have a great happy weekend. Oh, and if you are feeling frisky and healthy go ahead and be just a little bit naughty. It's fun!

Chill Like A Cat

One Cat Just Leads To Another. ~ Ernest Hemingway

Cats Are Connoisseurs Of Comfort. ~ James Herriot

Now those men knew their cats! :) Cody, Billie, Toeshee and Cricket don't spend their days bustling about and worrying about getting things done. And though they don't always manage to get along, they don't waste their time holding grudges and constantly bickering. They have learned there must be some peace in this four kitty household. (maybe not all the time of course!)

I found this Faerie yesterday and imagined that she could be a special Kitty Tooth Faerie. Maybe she will come to visit Miss Peach! Perhaps she also attends to kitties that need to take medicines and shots. She calms them down and helps them rest. Isn't the little kitten with her cute?

I hope everyone can have a nice relaxing and fun weekend.
Hugs and Purrs From Us!

Warm and Floofy Thoughts

Warm and Floofy Wishes

We hope you had a Happy Easter. We hope you have a Happy Spring. We hope you you have Happy Happy Everything! Momma did not get a chocolate bunny, but she said, "That's okay. If I want something sweet, I have you Billie Honey!"

Hi everyone, Billie here, repurrting my thoughts today. I am happy to know that my sister in floof, Praline had a great checkup at her VET yesterday! Her Mommy Paula is healing from her tooth surgery and we hope she feels better fast.

Now, we are very worried about Miss Peach. Her surgery is today. She must get teeth removed and the tumors in her tummy taken out. We are purraying hard for her and Momma put her picture by her candles last night. I have a small tumor on my back, but it doesn't need to be removed unless it grows or turns into something bad. Momma is afraid of that bad "C" word that can cause so much trouble. But, right now, I only have my kidneys to worry about. One is working perfectly though, so I am feeling pretty good!

Our friend Helena has a kitty named Fluffy who has very very bad arthritis in her spine. So we hold her in our thoughts too. Momma says it's not fair that fur babies have to get sick. It is definitly an imperfect world!

But, we are glad for our friends and we hope the sunshine finds you all today!
Think happy warm thoughts okay?

Hugs! <3

Very Special Kitties

Three Mommies who love their older kitty girls.

Please keep Mommy Paula in your thoughts as she has gum surgery today. :( ouch! And Praline who has to still have her blood work done in a few weeks.

Miss Peach will need surgery on her tummy for that tumor and her teeth pulled too. Please think of her and Mommy Karla who obviously is very worried about her. Miss Peach also has infection in both ears. :(

Billie has given me a few scares this past year, but right now she seems to be doing pretty well. She seems to be drinking a bit more water, so I will keep an eye on her.

We hope everyone has a peaceful happy weekend! Lots of Love <3

Bride'smaid Billie

Billie is Very Happy.

I am resting with my friend Secret Squirrel and admiring the pretty roses. Momma rescued Secret Squirrel from Toeshee who had taken him from me a long time ago. Momma found him in the upstairs bathroom. Stoopid Toeshee took his eyes off, but he seems ok.
Miss Peach have asked me to be a Bride's Maid in her upcoming wedding to Mickey. I am so honored! I am a very shy and quiet older ladycat and I never dreamed that I would be asked to join in such a momentous occasion. I wonder what my dress will look like? Will I carry pretty flowers like the ones on our mantle? Do you think a handsome mancat will ask me to dance? (blush)
I have been feeling a bit under the weather off and on, but right now, I am doing pretty well. If I continue to eat properly and rest I should be able to attend the wedding. Momma does worry so. She says I must be a good girl and let her groom me for longer than five minutes at a time. I must confess grooming time is the only time I lose my temper. Momma is very gentle with me, but I just do not liked to be messed with! I have arthritis in my hips and I do not like my hind quarters touched, thank you very much!
My I have gone on! I am very excited!
I hope my sister in floof, Praline is feeling better so she can go to the wedding too. And, There are so many kittyfriends to meet.
Yawn... I am sleeping now, just thinking of all the excitement. I better go take my nap now.
Hugs everyone! <3

Candles and Naughty Noodle Make the New Year Bright

Candles for Healing and Cricket for Smiles

I have been lighting candles for people and their pets for quite a while. I bought that cute little kitty votive holder just for that purpose. Last night I lit candles to remember all of the loved ones who left us this past year and in the years past and for all of those who are sick right now as we begin a new year. Please think of all of our beloved ones and feel a sense of hope and Healing. Jelly Bean's sister Misty is very sick with kidney failure, so I made sure to let her mommy Deb know I had her in my thoughts. I know there are many more and I wish health and healing for you all. The Lilac candle is so fragrant and reminds me that Spring is coming and the sun will warm us all again.

Now, Cricket would like to share something very naughty that she did.

Hello, everyone. A few days ago I held my own little New Year's Eve drop. Toeshee likes to drink milk from a little cream cheese container that momma fills for him and she lets him drink it on the counter by the kitchen sink. (spoiled little brat!) I decided to jump up there and help myself to some and Toeshee sat on the kitchen floor and watched. That's when I had a wonderful idea! I knocked the dish over and it landed on him spilling milk all over him! Muhaha! He ran into the living room drenched in milk! I sat there innocently. "Oops! I accidently tipped the dish over!"
Momma didn't buy it. She knows me too well and knows how smart and coniving I am. She couldn't help but laugh and of course I didn't get punished. Toeshee doesn't even smell like spoiled milk anymore.
I took a chance getting into trouble and poor Momma had to clean it all up when she was hurty, but it was so worth it!
Happy Naughty New Year Kitties!
Hugs!

Happy Not The Momma Monday!

A little birdie sent this out in e-mails this past weekend and I couldn't wait to post these adorable pictures!
It's Not the Momma Monday! Mo is the most loving, sweetest, dedicated animal lover around. He puts in so much time, money and Love and Tears into all of the fur babies that come to him in need. He is, in my mind The Patron Saint Of Cats.
He has five kitties of his own and always willingly takes in a stray kitty that needs fostering. Trust me, multiple cat house holds can be quite challenging!
Whenever he fosters, he has to play "musical cats" to avoid fights and the spread of illness until he can get the foster kitty to the V E T.
Ever try herding cats? :)
When he finds a home for the foster kitty, Mo always goes through such a bittersweet emotional time; happy for the cat and sad because, of course, he has become attached. The kitty also becomes quite fond of Not the Momma because Mo is just so kind and has so much love to give.

So, lets all wish Not the Momma a Happy Not the Momma Monday!

Oh, this was not my idea (because I'm not that organized) But, I don't know if she wishes to remain anonymous or not. I have a feeling though, that a lot of Mo fans received this wonderful idea and the cute pictures in their in box!
(I do know she has a feline brood of her own)

I'll pop over for visits as much as I can this week. Hugs everyone! And an Extra Big Hug for NTM!
