Thank You From Billie And Me

Thank You All! Billie is better! She has been eating like crazy today, hasn't barfed or pooed and just peed nicely in her box.

She's tangled from her bath yesterday and will need a lot of grooming, but she is very happy.

I am overwhelmed with all of the kindness of everyone. I don't know if I can even put it in words how much you all have touched me and how much your lovely words and outpouring of friendship mean to me. I have tears of happiness and relief today. I'm also amazed at the power of Purrs and Prayers.

Now, on to what I think happened. I will know for sure when she goes to the VET for a checkup
Italic. Bear with me because this will be a bit gross.
Billie loves Temptations. I mean love as in would eat the whole bag in one day. She last had quite a bit Friday night. She relapsed again later that night. (She started getting sick Thursday evening.)

Her poo was very loose and her being fluffy didn't make it easy. She reeked. But, it smelled oddly familiar. Here's the yucky part. I kept trying to place that smell. I thought about what she had eaten. When she greeted me this morning purring and wanting to be fed I was so happy and I opened up a can of stinky goodness. I then picked up the Temptations bag and realized that they smelled like Billie's poo! She had not had any Temptations since Friday evening. Could Billie be allergic to Temptations? I'm starting to think so!

When I say she's feeling better I mean Billie is just like her old self. She's eating and drinking water, not hiding under the sofa and she's purring when I pet her. I can't let her have Temptations anymore. I don't even want to test my theory. All of my mother's instinct is telling me I'm right.

If I'm wrong and she gets sick again before her appointment I don't know what I'll do.

I can't thank everyone in the Kitty Blogosphere enough for visiting and leaving their gentle purrs. Every time I read about a fur baby getting sick or going to the Bridge I cry and feel so bad. It means so much to know there are so many that love their kitties and woofies and other pets as much as I do. It's not that my family doesn't like my kitties, it's just that they don't have the maternal feelings and bond that I have with them.

You are all very special and I can't get over how just one word from Mo and everyone responds. The Power Of Mo... :)
I went to the Cat Blogosphere page and was just amazed at the network! I now know to check there regularly so I know what is going on.

I have so many Blogs to visit. I will be visiting as many as I can this coming week. Please know how much I appreciate all of you. Billie and I will always be grateful for you kindness and caring.
I will update again soon and hopefully she will still be feeling better and better.

Love and Hugs Always! <3

Hi Lorianna,
What great news. I am so glad to hear Billie is ok. Do you really think it could be Temptations that caused her to feel sick. Sorry, but my mom had to chuckle a little when you were describing Billie's poop. Now you can really relate to our PooPoo problem at my house!
Have a great rest of the weekend, and make sure you hide the Temptations!
Purrs,
JB

Oh sweetie, what a lovely post.
I'm SO glad Billie is feeling better!
Yes, there are several kitties in The Cat Blogosphere who cannot have Temptations, including some from Hot(M)BC, because of the ingredients.
But a vet would probably be able to tell you that better than me!
I've said it before, I'll say it again - the Cat Blogosphere is a miraculous place!
Keeping you & Billie in my thoughts and prayers,
luv from your friend,
mo

Hi,
I'm updating the Pet Purrs & Purrayers blog and will include the new information. Keep us updated once she sees the vet.
Don't worry about discussing your cat's poop, perfectly normal in these parts. Hee hee. Comes with the territory.

Soo glad to hear that Billie is feeling better. Though we feel a bit sorry for her, since it sounds like she's never getting another Temptation the rest of her life. Sigh...

Ah, well, there are other brands of treats out there. Maybe Billie could handle someone else's treats better.

Dennis is late to wish Billie well because he was all wrapped up in his own problems. My humans stopped buying cat food that wasn't completely made and processed and canned/packaged in the USA. If it is packaged or has ingredients from China --they don't buy it anymore. Dennis still gets treats, but mostly it's just a morsel of raw meat ( natural of course) just a raw meatball of chicken makes Dennis so happy!
Since they have been so careful with my food I'm much healthier and my fur has never been sleeker.

a raw mousie would be nice, but I don;t get outside often enough to hunt one down.

Billie please stay well!

Oh how wonderful this news is to read! I am so happy that Billie is doing better. You must be so relieved about her happier mood! purrrrring and eating is definately something to rejoice about!
There is great power in being involved with the like minded souls of the cat blogosphere. We are here for you always in good times or in bad. We want to hear all about it no matter what.
Now I hope you will still consider getting a nice trim for the stunning Miss Billie. Cuts are all the rage you know...just look at Seabourne from the Taylor CatSSSS!
You know, Miss Peach does not like Temptations or any other kind of treats. She just eats her Paul Newman cat food and her high quality dry biscuits. Never any people food...no begging at the table from her. She will lick my dry cereal or the vanilla ice creme bowl when we are done with them.
So now you get to meet so many new friends...and now you realize the power of the cat blogosphere is truely amazing. Welcome to our world!!!
Your adoring Miss Peach and her mommy {{{HUGS TO BILLIE & YOU}}}

Beautiful Billie is Better Day! What super news... it broke our hearts that your sweet kitty was so sick. And of course, a terrible worry for her human. The humans must be so careful about what they give us to eat, and your Mommy-Instinct is probably CORRECT.
You'll find other treats to satisfy. Again, be sure to email us when you have time to catch up, cause we have "Welcome Billie" pictures for you from Zoolatry.
You're special (we think) cause you're a furry-long-hair just like we are! Bye now, Maggy & Zoey.

We are so glad Billie is feeling better. Too bad about the Temptations, but hopefully that will take care of it. She may have developed a sensitivity to the wheat gluten in them.

Oh and Ann from Zoolatry has taken a special liking to you Billie! You remind her of her kitties...go and meet them!
Please do not worry so about visiting everyone right away. Stop by a few each day and before you know it all will have been visited. Gosh I do not know how dear Daisy gets to see everyone each day!! She is amazing.
