Toeshee On Ice
We were packing up for a trip to the beach yesterday and look who decided he wanted to cool off! Toeshee jumped right into the cooler on top of the ice! He loved it! Billie watched from a safe distance and she obviously thought he had lost his mind. I had to lift him out of it and give him a cube to play with. He likes water! he loves to watch it drip, he sticks his paw in the water dish and licks it and now this laying on ice thing... I think it's because he's Pisces. :)
We do use a squirt bottle to stop him when he's picking on the big kitties, but I think it's the noise and being told "NO" that he dislikes.
Sweet Praline passed on a Meme to Billie about six quirky things about her.
I'm not sure if we can come up with that many, but we'll try.
1; She likes to sleep on shoes and if it's a pair I want to wear I have to switch them with another pair quickly.
2; She loves to sleep in the bathroom when it's chilly.
3; When she thinks I have slept in too long past breakfast she will jump on the bed and stare at me until I get up.
4; She hates to be groomed and I must do a little bit every day just to keep her fairly under control. She can hear the comb and scissors coming at her in her sleep and will wake up ready to put up a fight. If she's very sleepy though I can get in some time. ;)
5; She loves a big breakfast and a mid-morning snack, then she will sleep all day until dinner time.
6; We recently found out she is allergic to Temptations. Now she thinks Iams dry kitten food is a treat. She really likes it!
7; In the summer at night she likes to sleep on the glass topped coffee table with the fan lightly blowing on her.
Wow, that was 7 quirky things about Billie! I noticed many of them had to do with sleeping. :)
What quirky things do any of you do; kitty or bean? ;) Lately, my thing has been paper crafting with glitter. Lots of glitter! It's everywhere and driving my daughter and husband crazy! (Hee hee!)
I wish I could say all was super happy here, but my husband is cranky and ready to go back to work and my daughter is bored (again) sigh...
I am stuck at 10-15 milligrams of Prednisone for my pain and inflammation and still feeling really achy. I am ready to just be alone with the kitties during the day. They don't complain, (well, maybe when they're hungry.) They don't get impatient with how slowly I move. They believe naps are an important part of the day and do not in any way imply laziness. :)
Okay venting done! I will be popping in to your bloggies to say hi.
Sending Hugs!

Toeshee is such a character! I can't wait to hear what he will come up with next.
That is so cute! I love that Billie is doing the Persian thing and trying to act like everyone else is crazy.
Hope your mom is feeling better and the pain is gone soon.

I think this is very special to me!!!
What is it about cats and sleeping on shoes???? My Fluffy does that too. LOL!
Just a quick pop in to say how much I love you and hope to be a better visitor again real soon. I have had such nosebleeds that have caused my dreadful headaches. At least the weather is so nice right now...a real blessing.
Kepp well and know how much I love you!!!
Oh Lorianna! I just remembered that I have a Feliway dispenser for you if you want it! let me know, and then you would only have to get the refills. it did not work for Miss Peach when she was peeing in her bed last year...but maybe for little M it might.
I am thinking about you so much of late...wishing you well and peaceful moments with a Victoria magazine and a cup of tea:)
Love Karla
I love the photos!
Kittens are hilarious. You made some great shots.
family life: yes, things can get overwhelming. a bored teenager is not good. Has she read any of the Jane Austen books?
You could rent Sense and Sensibility and make a pot of tea.
We watch movies here but we do not like sitting so long so we watch about 45 mins every evening after dinner, then we go for a walk.
When my girls were in elem and middle school and high school too for a while, we used to watch a movie a week and then they were to write up a "review" and draw a picture in their own style about the movie, a part that they particularly liked (perfection was not the thing here) We saved all of them in a notebook and still go back and read the "reviews", very cute, such good memories.
I seem to get more accomplished when the family is not home, but alas, my hubby works at home now for the past year, so I just had to learn to not get distracted. I just ignore him, make a list and do what I must each day, then what I like!
I am glad to know that the kitties keep you busy and going. I have the same thing here... I have to take care of them!
I hope you have a delightful week-end. I loved going to those Michigan "beaches"... lakes are so much better than the ocean which is filthy and i do not get in becuase the water makes me itch :-P

Very good... we fully agree with Billie on Point # 4 especially.
ha ha, #7 sounds like Misty! Toeshee must have the right idea...is it so hot where you live too? I think he should learn that water is not for cats....uh, just for drinking that is.
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Toshee sure is a nutso! Ice!
Spooker, my heat seeking missle, says "that boy ain't right!"
Maybe that's one way to calm him down - put him on ice!
*grins*
Toeshee looks so much like our Sebastian when he was little. Sebastian LOVED water too. He used to sit in the sink, and drink from the faucet and to this day, he still loves icecubes in his water bowl. Maybe that breed of cat is just more prone to water?
Nipped back for another look at your kitties!
Toeshee must have been quite hot! We like ice cubes in our water, but we've never taken a nap on any!
Hi Lorianna,
Just came by to say hi. Have not seen you much lately and hope you are feeling ok! How are the kitties doing? Still unrest at your house with Toeshee there?
We are closing on our new house tomorrow and movers come on Saturday. , so I will be having a hard time blogging I am sure. We will start moving stuff over ourselves tomorrow. My mom says this has to be the most hectic month she has had and will ever have!
Purrs,
JB
P.S. PooPoo gets sprung from the slammer probably on Sunday!
