Kitties and Crafts

Cozy Inside

Autumn is here for sure. The days are shorter and it's been cloudy and rainy and cold. Our old house doesn't have overhead lighting in the living room and it stays rather dim on cloudy days. We use lamps and lights like the ones on the fireplace and at night candles too. It's kind of pretty and the low lighting hides lots of dust and cat hair. :)
We have had some minor internet outages, but it's better than it was. The kitties have been keeping me company while I craft and try to keep up on the chores. I made a
little owl card, inspired by the Chinese fortune that reads; "Romance is Blossoming." It's a bit blurry, but that's what it says.
The Faerie paper doll is made from a template that I found online. The Enchanted Gallery, I think. She is an Autumnal Faerie. I used way to much glitter. Toeshee even had some on his fur! I told him he was sprinkled with Faerie Dust.

Miss Billie has taken to sleeping under the old broken down rocking chair in front of the heat register. The seat needs re-caning, so I just put a pillow on it and some of my little stuffed kitties on that.
Cricket is a bit miffed about Billie's napping spot because she likes to hide under there to play with her toys and lie in wait for Toeshee.

Never a dull moment with these kitties. Cody is mad at me because I have not taken him outside with me since Sunday. It's going to be a long winter with "Grandpa Floofy CrankyPants". He hates being cooped up in the house. He doesn't seem to understand that I do not enjoy cold wet weather and 40 mile an hour wind gusts.

Well, that's about it. We are holding out hope for some decent sunny days yet and just trying to stay cozy. I hope you all have some nice days on your way too.
Hugs!~

Mom LOVES the owl card!!! She's an owl junkie and last night came in the house (after smoking a smelly cigarette) to tell us she heard an Eastern Screech Owl! She tried to call him in, but he didn't come :o( And, you kitties are all so cute. Old man winter is about to be knocking on the door, stay warm and toasty furriends...

Pretty cards! And the little string of lights is so whimsical and cute. We sure wish we would get some cooler weather soon; we are expecting a "cold front" in a couple of days. That means highs of about 86 instead of low 90s!

I love the owl card - and the fairy is great too - and doesn't look like too much glitter to me! I think it would be fun if there was a way to glitter the kitties once in a while!

We have similar weather here - cold, cloudy and windy (well, not so bad today). No one in our house is looking forward to winter (well, ok, Barney doesn't know what winter is since this will be his first) because we hate the cold and driving in the snow. I think I would prefer the weather Daisy mentions in her comment.

Anyway, your crafts are cute, and so are the kitties - hanging out with them and doing crafts sounds like a great way to spend a windy, chilly day.

I also hope that you have some more warm days before the cold weather closes in until spring. Our weather is trying to make up its mind, cold, warm, cold again. Your cards and lights are delightful.

Cody & Shaggy are alike! Shaggy wants out even though the rain is coming down and it's really cold! We've had a few windy days lately with the cold rain and wind really disturbs all the kitties but Shaggy keeps wanting to go out. He turns around and comes back in then asks to go out 5 min. later! Just to see if it's changed to 80 and sunny I guess.
Those are pretty cards, and Billie that is a nice kitty cave under the chair!

We are so behind in reading blogs. We missed this post too. We love the owl art. You are so talented! There is a lot of floof in the pictures today too.
