Lavendar Blue and Cody Too

Cody helps pick Lavender (and is Toeshee F A T?)

Hey everyone! It's me; Cody the friendly gardening cat. (I'm the longer haired nice boy black cat of the family)
While Momma picked Lavender yesterday I relaxed on the front porch. Don't worry she watched me like a hawk. I can't get away with anything with her!
She put in on our old front door with a gold ribbon. We think it looks nice in a shabby chic kind of way. There is also some Russian sage with it.

Okay, take a look at Toeshee. Bigafy if you want, but it might take up your whole screen. Hee hee! He is really heavy! It hurts Momma's hands to pick him up! How much are Maine Coon cats supposed to weigh? We think he must be pushing 15 to 2o lbs. Is it time for Iams "Diet" cat food?

Oh, before I go, look at the pretty collage of Tookie and the sweet pictures and poem on our sidebar. Miss Peach's Mommy Karla made that. Momma gets all teary eyed whenever she looks at it. She is trying to gather courage to get some more pictures of Tookie posted. It has been 2 years and a month and we still miss her something awful. She was a great LadyCat.
It is also our 2 year blogaversary. We are grateful for all of the amazing furbabies and beans that we have met. We Love you all!

Hugs and Purrs!
Cody~

Wow that is so great that Cody is a gardening supervisor! And I don't think Toshee is fat if he is in the 15-20 lb range. I know that Floyd (who looks a lot like Cody) is at least part Maine Coon and he should be in the 17 lb range (he is too skinny) and I know Dante at All About Lacocoon Dante weighs about 22 lbs. Maine Coons are supposed to be big. There are a couple other Maine Coon blogs out there and I think everyone is around the same weight (check out Crazy Cat Lady Carm too -- I can't think of the other kitty blogs with Maine Coons right now).

Also your collage from Miss Peach is wonderful - she and her mom are such sweeties!

Happy 2 year blogoversary! I think Maine Coon kitties can get pretty heavy! Go visit Dante at http://allaboutlacocoondante.blogspot.com. He is a Maine Coon kitty.

Mom says to tell you she loves the chocolate and you know how I feel about the treats! Mom's arm is a little better, but she is still having a lot of pain.

Cody, it's great that you get to be gardening supervisor. Maine Coon cats are big cats. Most of the ones I know about are near 20lbs, some a little smaller, some a little larger. The lavender is lovely.

Hi Lorianna! I just saw your comment on my writing blog! Thanks for visiting it...I will be blogging regularly on this site now that my thesis is at least written as a rough draft. Yes, I have struggled with fear of failure in many areas but I it's time for me to stop that and just DO what it is that I want! I always encourage friends to venture out to discover themselves and practice what gives them pleasure (of course all in good judgment!!! ) :) Keep writing or doing what is challenging to you but that you love and your kitties are so darling! Congrats on your Blogoversary!!!! We are so happy we've met you all!
We love the little wisps of lavender on the door! Very sweet, and creative!
Shaggy was 21 lbs. up from 18 last year. He is a big cat anyway, but this was pure blubber hanging from his belly! He is on prescription diet food. And losing it by the looks of him. Need to get him in to be weighed. The rx food is high in fiber so he gets full on less, and lower in calories as well. Some diet foods you buy don't have the fiber, just less calories & fat so the cat will actually eat more food, more often, so you have to be careful what you buy if it's off the shelf. All "diet" foods are not created equal. Hope this helps.

You must never forget Tookie, just like we will not forget Misty, PooPoo, Taffy and Bear.
I think Toeshee is a little big, since I only weigh 7 pounds myself. Now Chester says he is trying to get as big as Toeshee and he sees no problem with Toeshee's size!
