Take Time to Hug a Kitty and Smell the Flowers

Too busy! Too Tired!

Hi, it's Billie and Cody here to give an overdue update.

The Teenagergirl graduated from High School. She has been rather irritable since then. Momma calls it growing pains, but she looks all grown to us, so we don't get it.

Momma is getting a hole in her tummy. She says it's an ulcer. She is taking medicine to block acids from making it more hurty. If that doesn't help she may need to get it patched up. That does not sound fun at all to us! She hasn't been feeling well for a while and still needs to nap a lot like a kitty. Her special medicine for her hurty joints doesn't go through her tummy because she pokes herself with a needle for that. It is probably from all her pain medication and all of her silly worrying.

We are doing our best to take care of her. We sit on her lap and purr and eat our food without complaining. She has been very frustrated with feeling so icky sicky all the time. We have all been feeling pretty frisky and healthy and we know that helps with her worries. She hopes her bloggie friends are not disapointed that she has not been by. She promises to be a good girl and take her medicine and rest so she can feel better enough to visit and blog more often.

Lorianna here: I knew something was wrong with my stomach. I had this burning sensation in my upper adomen and I have been so queasy. My PC Doctor put me on Prevacid and I really need to lay off the Ibuprofin and asprin. We will just have to see how it goes. She discussed an antidepressant and perhaps some counseling, but I just am not ready for that. I'm not saying I don't need it. I'm just not sure if it's something I can deal with. I think I just need to stop worrying and letting everything upset me. I think my doctor is ready to give up on me. :) She has brought this up before and I took a pass. No more medicine please! I'm starting to rattle...

Billie and Cody here again: We will make sure to keep Momma cheered up! Cricket will keep her in bed later in the mornings so she can get some rest. Once Cricket is on you, there is no moving until she says so!

Hugs from us all!

Oh guys, I hope your mom feels better soon! I have gone through that (I had an ulcer from all the ibuprofin I took at 16) and it is no fun! If you just snuggle with her to help keep her less stressed that will help.

Lorianna, I hope you start to feel better soon - ulcers are no fun, but they can go away. I totally agree with the whole getting sick of taking medicine thing - I am right there with you! Hopefully things will calm down and you can relax a bit without more meds! Just know we are keeping you in our thoughts!

I am so sorry that your mom's tummy is giving her a hard time. My mom had an endoscopy Friday and is still waiting to hear what the doctor wants to do next because her tummy still hurts.

Mom said she would try to email you in a few days! She says even the best of us need some help now and then.

Oh Lorianna I am so sorry that you are not feeling well still. Life does not seem fair at times...you are the sweetest dearest friend I know and I hate that you are not feeling well.
We love you and do not worry about us not loving you...visiting blogs is not a first priority. You need to rest and enjoy the quiet times like you tell me all the time. We should both go to a nice Victorian Inn for a week or so. Lots of pampering, high teas and massages, sitting under fragrant linden trees reading Victoria magazine....sigh...so good to dream!

Make sure you all take care of your momma, ok? I think tummy snuggles might do the trick, so maybe all of you can gather round her to make her feel better?

Huggin' kitties & smelling flowers are two of our favorite things around here too!
TG is probably irritable because all of a sudden she has entered The Great Unknown again in terms of life and its her defense mechanism. Sounds good in theory anyway....
I take Prilosec every morning. If I forget it my gut tells me by noon. There are studies that have followed daily uses for over 15 years so I'm confident in taking it long term.
the last of the kittens have been caught, pictures included! Come see them for a day brightener!!!

When kitty lovin' doesn't work, therapy can be wonderful. I hope you never rule it out!
