Very Worried, Very Sad

Very Worried and Very Sad.

Oh, I do not even want to type this. Billie is not doing well at all. She is barely eating except for bits of Fancy Feast and she growls at me whenever I try to touch her. She has crawled into the cat carrier we keep out for Toeshee's timeouts and will only come out once in a while to use the litterbox. I have had to coax her to eat and she will drink a bit of water. I asked my husband what we should do? Is it time for sub- cu fluids, or should we be thinking about something worse? He is not happy about taking measures that may not help and the Vet says it is up to us and she will help us make Billie comfortable. I have a bad feeling about that word; comfortable.
I know what my husband thinks is the best thing for her. I am just not ready to give up on Billie yet. I just don't want to do this again. Not my Billie, not now.
I am supposed to go in for x-rays on my hips, but I'm going to cancel so I can stay with Billie and save some money in case I need it for her. If I can just keep her eating and hydrated she may get some strength to bounce back a bit. She has done it before. Please keep Billie in your thoughts and purrayers.

Hugs. <3 (I will try to update and visit when I get a chance, okay?)

Oh no. I am so sorry that Billie is not doing well. You have probably already given sub-cutaneous fluids before, but if not, it is very easy to do.

Harley and I are going to link paws and send our best purrs for Billie.

oh I just found this!!
Billie get better please sweetiepuff.
Subq's are good if you are worried about hydration. You can usually tell if Billie is dehydrated by lifting up her furs and seeing if they are supple or feeling dry against her skin. baby foods, something mild like the chicken.
I will also be purrring for all of you.
((((hughughug))))) and get those xrays done if you need them <3

Oh Lorianna, we thought something may be wrong when we did not see you lately and you had not posted. We have tears in our eyes. Have you had a blood test for Billie and what does it say? That was the most telling thing for Misty. But if she is growling at you, maybe she is in pain. Misty does not seem to be in pain yet, just does not feel well. But when mom gives her the subQ fluids she bounces back really well. Mom was scared to give the fluids at first with the needle but it is real easy. Misty is getting fluids 3 times a week which has seemed to perk her up a bit. She is eating her FF too, but is still probably about 7 pounds only now. When will you take Billie in for xrays?
I don't know if you know TunTun's mom's, but she has visited our blog from time to time, and she is an animal communicator. Mom does not know how real her communication is, but she has been comforting to us. She emailed us an article from another animal communicator which we will try to find again, on how to know what your cat is telling you. As soon as we find it, we will email it to you.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and Billie and we will purr so hard that she gets better.
Purrs,
JB, Misty and Bear too (and Deb)

P.S. Don't think we are nuts listening to an animal communicator, ok? That's what my mom wanted to say. Purrs, JB
